The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Comeon people!  If you join a new group please read the rules BEFORE you try to submit a deviation!  I'm fed up of telling people its not a March entry because they didn't use the lines and/or it wasn't drawn in March.  :(  It's not that hard, the challenge is in the countdown box on the front page.

I think you should all try it, I can't wait to see what one of my dragons will look like drawn with my left hand.  Never tried drawing with my left hand before, I bet it will be messy.

Points update:
I just bought 4000 more points so here is the new total.

My current balance is: 7213 points, this will be used to buy this year's subscription which is about 9700 points and up for renewal on April 20th.

Hey, I just found this and I'm interested. So far everything makes sence, but I have one question.

Do the winners recieve prizes or not?

Hi, for the monthly challenges the only prize is the winner gets put in the featured gallery so the large thumb shows on our front page all month and I usually post a news article or two aswell, haven't had one this month due to flakey internet.

It would cost too much to provide prizes every month and I did ask twice already in polls and most people seem happy with the current set up.

Its more about the drawing, finding new inspirations and such. :)

Yeah, I was going to announce winners yesterday but had flaky internet and this morning I had none so I thought I better get someone with a DA account to send a message. I have internet now but don't know how long it'll last. Think maintenance only lasts a week so next week it should all be super fast and shiny.
