Crediting stock - very important
Please do not ignore this journal.
Ok everyone, back when DA released its latest version something went wrong with the way it gave us the URL of our stock images.
What DA does when you view anything is it creates a
TEMPORARY URL for the image based on the search or page you were viewing when you clicked on the thumbnail.
Bad example: http: // thedragonchallenge . deviantart . com /#/dzxi1t ->
[link]What you should be using: http: // soundlessnoise . deviantart . com / art/Lily-02-60349601 ->
[link]They both lead to the same place now but in a few months when DA forgets what search you did they wont.
This means most of you have been crediting your chosen stock using links that are only temporary and after a few months it will break. Since you all get your stock from the front page of this group that means anyone looking at your old entries and trying to view the stock will end up in #
TheDragonChallenge. No credit for the poor stock artist.
What I need you all to do is check your old entries, make sure the stock links are still working. If they are not please go to our favourites and you will find a folder of all the stock we used (minus one that was removed) --->
[link]Click your stock image, scroll down to the image description, click the title of the stock image to refresh the page and magically there you have the real URL to the actual picture.
Make sure what you copy into your image decription mentions the stock artist's username
NOT thedragonchallenge.
Of course the easy way to fix this is to also provide the stock artist name as a :dev username: or :icon username: clickable link e.g `Scellanis
. This will also mean the stock artist still gets credit and can be found even if they delete the stock image from their gallery.My current balance is: 2744 points, this will be used to buy this year's subscription which is about 9700 points and up for renewal on April 20th.
Note: points must be sent to

as group points not enabled yet.
Thanks to everyone who donated!!
If you want to help raise points you can try the Llama trading game.
[link]Llama badges are free to give so you can earn a free points without having to pay any money.
